Pair of Planet Pairings ~ 14 Nov 2015

We now participate with a pair of planetary parings involving the massive and visually magnificent gaseous giants, Jupiter and Saturn, each pattern having in common the sign of Pisces.

Jupiter in Virgo opposed Chiron in Pisces on November 3rd. With Jupiter retrograde, this happens again on February 23, and again on August 12th of 2016.

Saturn in Sagittarius soon squares Neptune in Pisces. Come November 26th the first square moves into exactitude. As Saturn retrogrades next year, we have another such pattern on June 18th, and a completion on September 10th.

For additional connection and common linkage in these pairings, Jupiter and Saturn square, Virgo to Sagittarius on March 23rd (Jupiter retrograde, Saturn direct) and May 26th (Jupiter direct, Saturn retrograde).

Jupiter and Chiron forged an amazing relationship. When Chiron concocted poison and applied it to arrows for Hercules to be a lethal and formidable warrior, little did he imagine that one of those poisoned arrows, deflected through the centaur Elatus, would boomerang back to wound him. As an immortal, lethal poisons cannot kill. They cause a life of unending pain, though. Chiron finally appealed to Jupiter for relief, by relinquishing his immortality, and after a stint in the underworld where Chiron assumed the role of Prometheus, Jupiter ended Chiron’s immortality and honored him with a place in heavens as the archer in the sign of Sagittarius.

Over the next nine months, through the Jupiter-Chiron oppositions, opportunities for healing long-standing emotional and spiritual maladies prevail. Chiron, denied by his father and cast aside by his mother, began life with a sense of abandonment and not being good enough or worthy of love for some unknown reason. With Jupiter to Chiron, healing of any “not enough” belief or life experience can occur. Whether “not tall enough” or “not smart enough” or “not sufficiently spiritual” these aspects seek to undo whatever angst such beliefs carry. Jupiter takes the lead.

Jupiter urges one to seek knowledge, develop skills and achieve undeniable competence and proficiency in anything one does in life. It’s a bit like the axiom that if one puts in twenty thousand hours of experience in a chosen life task, they achieve expert status. Become the expert and despite the critics and naysayers, the excellence in ones accomplishments cannot be denied. Then, one is enough, and functions with a core-felt sense of competence that attracts acknowledgment and cooperation. This is the way one becomes an overnight success: learn the craft, gain experience, work and work, and one day out of thin air, recognition and position follows.

Says Jupiter to Chiron, “do the drill, learn the lessons, and I will grant you the ability to enjoy the mastery and majesty of those efforts.”

Saturn to Neptune, through any aspect, creates the Field of Dreams syndrome. Related to the award-winning film of that name, Saturn and Neptune twist and turn the psyche to see if one can remain devoted to the dream and apply the actions required to make the vision appear in hard-core reality. Should a farmer plow under the money crops to build a ballfield such that imaginary ballplayers have a place to play, and where the farmer’s father will ultimately appear to heal their inadequate relationship? Sounds like a fabulous and brilliant plan unless you ask bankers or accountants.

Through the Saturn to Neptune cycle encouragement to set and reset visions of a grandiose outcome in life is rendered in unending supply. Can your life become as amazing and fantastic as visions of sugar plums might promise? Only through hard work. Some contend that dreamers dream and doers do. Here’s where your inner dreamer meets your inner doer. Once amazing Neptunian visions of outcomes come to mind, get Saturn and ground them. Write business plans, grant requests, investor summaries, or budget this dang thing so you can get it done over time by yourself.

It’s time to ensure that the mundane reality of life does not defeat great aspirations. It’s time to ensure that fantasies have a chance of success through planning, hard work and perseverance.

The Jupiter-Saturn squares perfectly augment these patterns. Jupiter expands; Saturn contracts. During any tense relationship between these visually stunning, gaseous giants, a balance of how far things can extend and expand without busting the bubble or bank prevails. There will be a cautionary conservatism that augments and underscores any opportunistic surge forward.

Pick a pair. Pick both pairs. Pick the Jupiter-Saturn glue. The influences above promise to grease the gears of grinding out even the grandest of goals... and it’s all there for the grabbing.

More soon.
